Folks in London!

My parents arrrived at 6am on Monday 25 June and yes, I met them at Heathrow airport so they weren't overwhelmed by the city! After taking them on a train then bus to my place, I left to go to work while they recovered from 3 days in very hot Singapore.

Saturday nite I took them to my cousin Phil's 30th birthday drinks. They were both impressed with the underground and oh so many people!

I also took them to one of my fav restaurants, a spanish tapas place where food is yum and so is the sangria!

After their 3 week trip, mum and dad were back in London for a few days. We tried to go to Buckingham Palace on the Saturday but it was raining too much to take good pictures, so we ended up at Harrods. I still hadn't been there so it was a good chance to go as well. The food hall was most impressive with all the fresh seafood everywhere and all sorts of meats and cheeses etc etc.
On Sunday I took them to a food and wine festival called Toast (http://www.toastfestivals.co.uk/). This is on ever year in London, the Saturday is NZ Toast, Sunday is Australian Toast. We went on Sunday as my friend organised the event and had some complimentary tickets. We were also joined by some family friends from NZ, the Parsons. Was a great day out in the sun, which has been lacking in London this year!
